A BIT ABOUT MY WORK

  • Woman standing at a dining table in a cozy, well-lit room with large windows, dark furniture, and framed artwork on the wall.

    I'M BROOKE LANE

a Kingston-based interior decorator, design consultant & reiki practitioner.

  • Living room with a blue vintage sofa, green chest, and wall with blue and white geometric wallpaper, three framed pictures, and a standing lamp with a fringed lampshade.

    MY APPROACH

is to embrace and promote holistic and circular design through a deep respect for what’s already there. I love showing clients how small, intentional changes—a shift in color, texture, flow, or function—can breathe new life into a space without a single wall coming down.

  • Empty bar with a dark wood counter, bar stools in front, and shelves of liquor bottles and glassware behind it, dim lighting creating a cozy ambiance.

    I WORK ON

residential homes, commercial spaces, and styling projects, each with it’s own story to tell.

TESTIMONIALS

  • Hudson Valley Interior Design The Red Onion

“Brooke is a calm and efficient task master who 'rolled with the punches' of contractor errors, tile supply issues and the overall stress of having an ambitious set of goals in a very limited amount of time. I have received nothing but compliments on the results that have massively enhanced the ambiance of my now twenty-three-year-old restaurant. I would turn to Brooke again in a heartbeat if I had interior design needs; Brooke is a consummate professional.” - Kevin (The Red Onion)

  • Modern kitchen with white walls, blue cabinets, wooden shelves, and large windows. Includes stainless steel appliances and a central island with a stovetop.

Brooke has been an invaluable partner in making our home feel like home. She works with her clients to meet them where they are at, bouncing ideas (and cool finds) off of them until it all comes together. She is also not afraid to get her hands dirty, stepping up to make murals, do organizing, do plaster and so much more.” - Ben (Olivebridge, NY)

  • Person sitting at a wooden table working on a laptop, with color swatches, a notebook labeled 'BACKDROP', and fabric samples on the table.

“I recently attended an interior design workshop at Brooke Lane in Kingston, NY, and it was a fantastic experience. The workshop was exceptionally well-organized, and the setting was both inspiring and welcoming. Brooke was incredible—her deep knowledge and passion for interior design truly shone through. Her focus on educating others to create beautiful spaces was evident in every aspect of the workshop. She provided practical advice that I can easily apply to my own home projects. The hands-on approach and the opportunity to ask questions made the class enjoyable and effective. I left feeling more confident in my design choices and inspired to take on new projects. I highly recommend Brookelane to anyone looking to enhance their design skills and get incredible ideas they can immediately put into place.” - Lysa

  • Dimly lit restaurant interior with small candles on tables, dark wooden chairs, tufted leather banquette seating, and modern wall-mounted lights casting starburst patterns on a dark-colored wall.

“Brooke did an amazing job re-imagining Unicorn Bar (fka The Beverly Lounge) in Midtown Kingston for us last year. Playing off the existing art deco lighting and details, she pulled the place together in such a beautiful, cohesive and fun way that created the vibe that was exactly what we wanted -- a place to get a little fancy but still feels accessible to everyone. Thank you Brooke!” - Francesca (Unicorn Bar)

  • Counter at a restaurant with three computer monitors and a green, black, and wooden decor backdrop, featuring a yellow circle with a clover and heart logo.

"Brooke designed my dispensary, Lucky Green Ladies, and I was really pleased with the outcome. Brooke based the design off of the building's previous uses (auto shop, gas station) and was able to incorporate my brand colors to conceive a modern but vintage dispensary look. Brooke did a great job sourcing the materials for the project and her attention to detail was incredible. Brooke always made herself available during key deadlines to make sure the project never got delayed. I would recommend Brooke again in the future. Thanks!" - Alissa (Lucky Green Ladies)

  • Living room with green-painted fireplace, brick interior, and built-in shelves filled with books, decorative items, and pottery. A mirror is above the fireplace, and a chandelier hangs from the ceiling. Part of a sofa with beige and gray pillows is visible in the foreground.

“You completely transformed my house into a home that is more magical than I could ever have imagined. Your ability to come up with a color palette that flows so seamlessly throughout every room while honoring the history of the house at the same time is some kind of interior design sorcery! Design skills aside, your patience, generosity, humor and kindness made working with you an absolute pleasure. It was so fun and I wish I could do it all again with you!” - Maria (Philmont, NY)
